DEEP Announces Scholarships for Contractors!
The Duluth Energy Efficiency Program (DEEP) is pleased to announce a scholarship designed to help cover the cost of Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification for Duluth area contractors. Homeowners participating in the DEEP rebate program for insulation and air sealing improvements will be required to use a BPI certified contractor.
To help meet demand for BPI certified contractors, DEEP is offering a professional development scholarship to contractors serving the Duluth residential market covering 50% of the BPI certification registration cost (a value of up to $800). Fond du Lac Tribal Community College (FDLTCC) is currently the sole BPI Affiliate in Minnesota and offers multiple BPI approved Building Analyst and Envelope Professional courses. Contractor scholarships will be available on a first come, first served basis and are contingent upon passing written and field certification exams. More information and application materials are available here.
